General Information
Purpose and Intended Audience: To provide participating radiologists the opportunity to
actively participate in the interpretation of a wide variety of pediatric imaging, including digital
radiography, sonography, CT and MRI. Participants will gain greater exposure to studies such as
neonatal and pediatric ICU radiology, advanced pediatric body and neuroimaging, hip ultrasound
and post-processing techniques using 3-D workstation.
Overall Learner Objectives: Upon completing the traineeship, participants should be able to
1. Demonstrate familiarity NICU/PICU imaging.
2. Apply the basic imaging algorithm of representative pediatric diseases.
3. Practice radiation safety based on ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable)
techniques.
