Auditing o Access to required systems is provided and audit report recommendations are reviewed and attended to. o Anticipate potential system and process vulnerabilities, providing both online and offline system data to auditors. Segregation of duties is maintained and access to critical functions is limited. Keep all SAP users informed of any system changes/problems via the applicable mediums. This must be done timeously or as per policies where applicable. Administer software licenses Regular interactions 5% 5 August 2009 Support for SD systems o Request and monitor production reporting, archiving, etc., as defined from time to time o Co-ordinate downtime/unavailability on all ERP environments o Impact analysis on system resources for long running background jobs – monitoring, scheduling and deleting jobs as needed Systems administration o Assist with preparation of policies, procedures and reporting o Develop good understanding of UCT’s organisational structure and keep abreast of changes o Participate in Systems Access projects o Participate in SD, ICTS and UCT projects as defined Administer and supervise the student assistants Conduct annual SAP license audit. Maintain ERP users in line with policies and procedures Make sure that thorough testing of new authorisation and software occur to ensure proper operation. Support for SD systems o Approved system downtime/unavailability is scheduled and communicated to all system users. o Ensuring that from a user perspective nothing is being done to jeopardise the system from operating optimally. System Administration o Up to date and relevant policies, procedures and reporting ensure good corporate system governance. o Good organizational knowledge ensures proficient support is provided. o Contribute to the success of identified projects.
