Senior Secretary – Undergraduate Administration (Pay class 6) Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health Faculty of Health Sciences The University of Cape Town is seeking an energetic and dynamic person to join the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health to provide administrative support to undergraduate education in psychiatry and psychology. Requirements: Matric Secretarial and Office Management Diploma or appropriate post-matric qualification would be advantageous. At least two years’ experience, preferably in an educational institution. Good computer skills, particularly: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Internet and email. Good administrative and organizational skills. Proficiency in English and either Afrikaans or Xhosa. Good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the UCT Student Administrative Processes (Peoplesoft) would be advantageous. Responsibilities: General Office administration Providing administrative support to the undergraduate Committee. Liaising with students, staff and visiting lecturers. Preparing course timetables. Organizing teaching and examination venues. Organizing and coordinating student assessments and examinations. Working with an information database system. Collecting and entering of student marks. The annual cost of employment, including benefits is between R149 972 and R176 479.
