Jewellery:
For safety and security reasons this should be kept to a minimum. Studs or
sleepers in ears are permitted, however necklaces create a safety risk during sport
and are strongly discouraged.

Make-up:
Not permitted. This includes nail polish, lipstick, eye shadow and glitter.

Hair:
A neat style is encouraged. For health purposes shoulder length hair or below
should be tied back. Non-conventional hairstyles that do not contribute to the tone
of the school are discouraged.

Hats:
School policy requires students to wear a wide brim hat or a cap during PE, Sport,
Recess and Lunch all year unless it is raining.

Helmets:
The Road Traffic Laws require all students to wear a Cycle Helmet when riding to or
from school. Penalty under Traffic Code is $50.

As you are no doubt aware, this school has a school dress code which was formulated in
1994 and updated in 2006 and 2009.
The School Community has developed this dress code for all enrolled students.
We believe this dress code will:
 foster self esteem and school pride
 ensure students dress safely for specific school activities
 encourage equity amongst students
 foster and enhance the public image of the school
 assist in building school and team spirit
Dress Code Requirements
Plain school colours of light and royal blue in school clothing, as indicated on the back, are
requested. (There should be no slogans, motifs, stripes or patterns except for the school
logo.)

endeavour to have your child in the correct school dress code as soon as possible.
