The main performance lasts approximately 2 hours with a 15-20 minute interval.

Our Fitzroy Cafe will be open before the performance and during the interval selling a
range of sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Our Ice Cream cart will be selling delicious ice
cream during the interval. You are also welcome to bring your own picnics to the

Pre-Theatre Workshop & Real Horses
The pre-theatre workshop is an informal and free of charge performance to give some
background to the story of Black Beauty. This is an exciting chance to meet a ‘real life’
Black Beauty and learn of the role of horses in the 19th Century.
There are no real horses in the main performance. The horses are portrayed by actors with
highly unique and specially created costumes (for images please see the flier enclosed).
Dogs
Dogs/pets are not permitted in the performance areas except for assistance dogs.
Toilets
Toilets, including disabled facilities will be available at the House and the Stable
Courtyard.
Severe Weather
We have no plans to cancel this event but in the event of severe weather please check our
website www.castlehoward.co.uk or our facebook page for updates.
