Position:
Junior Coach, Ashbury Alligators Swim Team
Position Type:
Seasonal, 2015 season runs from May 26 to July 26
Summary:
All Junior Coaches are expected to also participate as a member of the swim
team. Responsible for coaching duties for a summer swim team of
approximately 170 swimmers aged 5-18. Work with one or more of the teams
age-based practice groups. Basic expectations include: fostering positive
relationships with swimmers and families, helping all swimmers develop proper
technique, assist in supervision of age-based practice group, attend all dual and
championship meets.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage
Qualifications:
16 – 18 years of age
One year of coaching experience (community service or paid) strongly preferred
Previous participation on summer or competitive swim team
Lifeguard certification preferred
Interest and ability to work with children

Community Service hours, completed high school form to be submitted to the
Board at the conclusion of the season.
