Senior Coach, New Trier Swim Club, Chicago (Winnetka) Il
POSITION:
New Trier Swim Club is a year-round competitive swim team located just north of
Chicago, Illinois and is a member of Illinois Swimming LSC and USA Swimming. We
are seeking a coach to work with our senior program, swimmers of differing ability
levels between the ages of 13 and 18. This position will report to the Head Coach

DUTIES:
The Senior Coach shall:
• Help supervise and manage New Trier Swim Club swimmers during all scheduled
practices, swim meets and extra activities.
• Oversee progression, set goals, and monitor development and placement of
swimmers.
• Instruct swimmers on all aspects of swimming as needed.
• Perform duties in a manner that supports the philosophy and direction of the
team.
• Establish and maintain relationships and open communication with swimmers and
parents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Competitive swimming experience
• Strong technical knowledge of the sport
• At least 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Ability to lead, inspire and instruct athletes in and out of the pool
• Strong communications skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for helping
swimmers maximize their potential
• Have and maintain current certifications required by USA swimming
• Must pass background check
