1st Part:

2nd Part
History of Photography Assignment
Objective: Choose a decade from 1860 to 1960; Find one photographer and three photographs to illustrate
an aspect of history from that decade that interests you. Prepare a two to three page report (not
including bibliography and title page) that describes photographic history through, inventions, artist,
movement, or issues in photography during that decade. Your paper must use at least three to five
sources, magazines, books (library) and Internet sources to generate ideas.
Format: Your paper must be typed, double-spaced, easily readable 10 or 12 point font , title page,
bibliography, and please number your pages. You must also include photos of images you refer to in
your paper. They should be numbered “Fig. 1,” “Fig. 2,” etc. Each image should be provided with a
caption and referred to parenthetically in the text.

The inconsistencies in perspective can be seen in Robinson's composite photograph “When the Day's
Work is Done.” (Fig. 6) You must turn in a bibliography with your paper.
