Laboratory, study group, collaborative workshop or computer laboratory time for Introduction To
Probability and Statistics. Corequisite: Mathematics 43. 1 - 2 hours laboratory.

Expected Outcomes for Students:
Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
1. read and write the mathematics used in Introduction To Probability and Statistics;
2. use technology currently used in Introduction To Probability and Statistics;
3. solve problems on their own and with peers without having to rely on an instructor.

1. Applications of principles and concepts

Assignments and Methods of Evaluating Student Progress:
1. Typical Assignments
a. Exercises from the textbook: Section 3.3 Do 54, 59, 60, 62, 63, and 64
b. Computer assignments using Minitab: Enter the data on test scores into a Minitab worksheet.
Create a histogram, stem-and-leaf diagram, and boxplot of the data. Calculate the mean,
standard deviation, and five-number summary. Write a brief analysis of the data based on these
graphical and numerical summaries
