Shakespeare Staging Project
Each group will produce the materials necessary to stage a scene for Shakespeare.
You will be responsible for presenting the following elements. All elements should reveal understanding
of the characters, language, and situation of the scene.
1. A reading of the play with blocking.
2. Detailed drawings of sets and props.
3. Detailed drawings of costumes.
You will present all elements to the class. We will be doing most of this work in class, but feel free to
study various other stagings of these scenes to get a sense of what other directors have done.
Due dates are to come.
