MEMORANDUM FOR Creekview High School Raider, Drill and Rifle Team Members
SUBJECT: Varsity Letter and Team Discipline Policy
1. Students and cadets participating in the three JROTC sponsored competition teams offered at
Creekview High School can qualify for a Varsity Letter only after meeting the following criteria.
a.90% attendance at all practices.
b.100% attendance at assigned competitions.
c. 15 hours of community service/service learning. Students can document out of school
volunteer hours from other organizations to meet this requirement.
d. Passing grades in all classes.
e. No ISS, OSS, or ALT school during the competition season.
f. 100% uniform wear on inspection days. (JROTC cadets only)
g. Rifle team varsity letters are awarded to the top five seeded shooters who also meet the above
requirements.
h. Raider and Drill team varsity letters are awarded to Juniors and Seniors who meet the above
requirements. Sophomore and Freshman team members must meet the above criteria and qualify and
participate in a state level competition.
2. Team captains will maintain team member records and verify each letter candidate has achieved the
required qualifications.
3. Membership on a sports team is an earned privilege, not a right. Your abilities will never serve as a
substitute for good behavior while participating on a JROTC sponsored team. Discipline infractions
incurred in school or the community will lead to a mandatory one competition suspension or dismissal
from the team based on the severity of the offense.
