Dear Cougar Players and Parents, It’s time once again to prepare for the 2015 season. This season brings high expectation for all of us. We have 17 of 22 starters returning as well as 19 seniors. I have always believed that our team is only as strong as its senior class. I expect great leadership from this years seniors! Our captains, Bradley Anderson and Devante Clark, will be expected to take charge of this senior lead team. Our motto for 2015, “TCB”…Toughness, Confidence, Believe…is something that we all need to work hard to develop. It will take all of these things for us to reach our goal as North Piedmont Conference Champions! In order for this to happen we all must make the commitment to prepare by participating in all the pre-season opportunities that are offered. The calendar that is included in this packet will take you from spring practice to the first two games. Please keep in mind that some dates/activities could change due to the fact that it is very difficult to be completely accurate in all plans six months in advance. We will all need to be flexible if necessary. Keep up with this calendar for summer reference. We need all of you to participate in as many of these workouts as possible. Take vacations with your families and do your best to plan your work schedules around our team workouts. You must be in the best shape possible by August 1!! Below is a list of important dates and events that you need to be sure to remember. Spring Practice – May 18 - June 3 - This will be for both JV and Varsity teams. There will be no 21-player rule this year and we are allowed to have all players participating. Wofford Offensive Camp June 14-16 – The cost is $275 and this camp is for both jv and varsity players. We will take a bus to and from camp. I encourage you to apply for assistance through the “Robin’s Run” foundation. Mini Camp – July 27-29 – This is for Varsity players only and we will travel to Western Carolina University in Cullowhee N.C. The cost will be $180 per player and all varsity players who participated in the mattress sale will receive financial assistance. I hope that all varsity players will make plans to attend mini camp. This is very important to our team’s success! Please pay close attention to all the events listed on the calendar, especially the dates for physicals. It is an NCHSAA rule that you must now have a current physical in order to participate in summer workouts as well as the regular season. Make sure you take care of this. Championships are not won August through November…they are won January through July!! Get excited!!! Coach Bazzle
