An estimated 21,900 people living with HIV were unaware of their infection in 2012. Recent national treatment guidelines recommend testing and early treatment to prevent onward transmission. Although mephadrone was made illegal soon after it remains a popular drug and the availability of new drugs has exploded, with hundreds of new substances available in the UK and the rest of Europe.
