Review Minutes of Last Meeting: Approved ( ) / Amended () 2. Secretary’s Report: (Carolyn McLain) – Nothing to report. 3. Treasurer’s Report: (Fredy) – Finances in Good Standing. Paid Katchner Caverns. Paid for Engineer week venue and luncheon. 4. Program Report: (Richard) –Will talk it up at the Section meeting at the beginning of next month. Will mention that we need lower cost engineering college or continuing education courses that could count as college courses. STEM students need more “fun” classes at the lower level in college. Will call other section chairs to get a good attendance. Get standards at a lower cost. Need ideas for section congress which will be held in Amsterdam. Ideas need to be in by May. 5. Publicity Report: (Bob) – By 21 April, first one and 15 May the second flyers should go out to Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque and Los Alamos for Katchner Caverns event. 6. Membership Report: (Randy) – Two new members. One regular and one student. April 7 is engineering night at Cochise College. April 23 is Cochise Industry Advisory board at Cochise College. Richard was submitted for Senior membership. Getting ready to submit Tom Watiti and Carl Poe. 7. PACE Report: (Randy) Engineer’s week funds of $400 was received and deposited. Sent report for Katchner Caverns to get $500. Levi will be replacement for PACE in Warwick, RI. Talked with Celia coordinate of STEM at Cochise College about a student chapter at Cochise College but it may be a problem since they don’t do four year degrees but maybe partnering up with U of A. We opened a bank account at Wells Fargo. 9. Women in Engineering (Carolyn) – Have registration, hotel and airfare for WIE conference. Receive information from local girl scouts for a STEM event that they are planning during Fall break in October. 10. Fellows and Awards Report: (Richard) – No fellows at the present time. No awards. 11. Strategic Planning Report: (Richard) – In progress. 12. Webmaster’s Report: (Levi Moore) – Updated items from an email but did not update YES fair. Need to upload flyer for Katchner Caverns. He will add a link to the Katchner Caverns so people can purchase tour tickets. Need to put information for WIE conference. Add link for WIE conference. Carolyn will send the link to Levi. 13. Old Business: One item open: Richard attended area meeting for the southwest area [08-09] Project Lead the Way support – In Progress 14. New Business: Trying to start a Reliability Society Chapter for Phoenix, Tucson and Fort Huachuca. 15. Next Meeting: projected as April 30, 2014 16.
