PRESS RELEASE Richard Aird Saturday 20 July, 8pm Tickets £10, Concessions £8 Box Office: 01432 340555 Richard Aird OBE is perhaps better known as the Headteacher for Hereford’s Barrs Court Specialist (SEN) School and College, but he is also an accomplished multi-instrumentalist folk artist of many years’ standing. To mark his retirement from Barrs Court, Richard will perform an acoustic set of traditional, contemporary and original, plus spoken verse, accompanying himself on Celtic harp, guitar, bouzouki, tenor ukulele and assorted dulcimers. Richard’s influences include Nic Jones, Robin Williamson, Bert Jansch and Roy Harper. Richard will also be joined for some of the performance by story teller Alan Kilburn and world musician Manu Song.
