Argentina is involved in the Middle East and is helping to solve terrorist organizations.

Argentina is currently involved with Palestine and Israel but is not currently involved with Syria or any aid that is being given to them. Argentina believes that the UN should not get involved in

Syria and that it would aggravate the Middle East. Instead Argentina believes that a humanitarian intervention with no military prospects would be the best solution to solve the current problems involving Syria. We have offered offer to mediate in Middle East conflict so that there is a neutral party to get something done. Argentina has stated that you cannot let this go on you must find a way to stop letting arms get in and stop the conflict.

Syrian president admitted that it will be difficult for Turkey to continue with its mediation efforts. He has also invited Argentina to invest in their ancestors’ home country. It will continue to get worse, with the government using chemical on citizens.

The crisis in the Central African Republic needs solved so Argentina is going to increase its involvement in the situation. Argentina has recently sent a couple thousand troops over to help deal with the situation and hopefully defuse the tension. Argentina has already sent troops along with other countries and believes that this will help the interim government.

Central

Africa's interim President Catherine Samba-Panza called for the African peacekeeping force to be transformed into a larger U.N. operation. Argentina supports the new ideas that the UNSC has come up with, they will be able to blacklist anyone who violates the arms embargo as well as human rights abusers and thinking at least 10,000 soldiers are necessary in the African

Union. A possible option is to send more troops along with peacekeepers to help the government establish order although the chances of success aren’t looking very good.

Argentina thinks that more countries should have a bigger say in what happens but there should be no more permanent members added to the Security Council. Argentina believes that there should be no new members added to the Security Council but they should get more say in decisions. President Cristina Fernandez says that the UNSC P5 have been misusing the veto and will not let anything be approved. We think that the vetoes are making the Security Council less productive and it will not be solved because whenever Security Council reforms come up they are unable to get the P5 to agree on the reform. There needs to be some type of reform on the P5’s ability to use the veto but nothing can currently be done.
