Flipping with Tegrity 11 am to 1 pm | Thursday April 26 | SH Classroom Technology Open Lab Adam Burns and I had the opportunity to attend the Tegrity User’s Conference this past week. We saw many wonderful ways to use Tegrity lecture capture effectively and creatively. A key term which emerged quite often was ‘flipping the classroom.’ Flipping the classroom has been in action for several years as a strategy and pedagogical approach. Students view lecture materials and/or the lecture online prior to coming to class. Instructors spend class time actively engaging student with content. You might want to view this webinar on how Calhoun Community College uses Tegrity for flipping the classroom. Calhoun CC Flips the Classroom with Tegrity With Tegrity, you can record your lecture, complete with Powerpoint and videos from your desktop. The recording is captured to your Blackboard class where students can access the content. These recordings are usually short segments of 8-10 minutes for optimal attention. Give this some thought. This Thursday we’ll showcase Tegrity. Hope to see you there! Classroom Assessment Service to the classroom is a commitment to the value of instructional time. Please take our quick service survey. View this in Tegrity Lecture Capture My iPad Professor Keith Walters from Northern Kentucky University shared how he use Tegrity to record his lecture while teach from his iPad. He’ll even hand iPad to his students to solve the problem you need is a wifi connection for the iPa Walters used to teach solely from his tab but now he has migrated to the iPad wh matches his desire to mobilize and conn his students. We can do this as well. Let know if you are interested.
