PPAC 2013 Criteria
1. Allopathic Medical School Applicants
a. Acceptance percentage of 50 based on AAMC MCAT and GPA Grid for Acceptees to
U.S. Medical Schools, 2009-2011 (aggregated)
b. Grid is available from Mrs. Beverley Childress (childbb@auburn.edu)
c. MCAT scores must be from a proctored exam
2. Rural Medical Program Applicants
a. Meet minimum admission requirements for rural medical programs
b. Requirements available at
https://www.uab.edu/medicine/home/education/prospective/degree-opps/rural-med-prog
c. Must submit PPAC Resume by February 1, 2013
d. Must complete PPAC by March 1, 2013
3. Osteopathic Medical School Applicants
a. Minimum ungapped overall GPA of 3.3
b. Total MCAT score of 22 with no subtest score below 7
c. MCAT scores must be from a proctored exam
4. Dental School Applicants
a. Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above
b. DAT Academic Average score of 18 or above
c. DAT scores must be from a proctored exam
5. Optometry School Applicants
a. Meet average overall GPA and OAT requirements of individual schools
b. Chart is available from Mrs. Beverley Childress (childbb@auburn.edu)
c. OAT scores must be from a proctored exam
6. Dental and medical school applicants choose a deadline to complete PPAC
a. July 1 (the priority deadline and the best option)
b. September 1 (late and may cause delays in interviewing and acceptance)
c. If deadline is missed, files will be reviewed and sent in December
7. Optometry applicants follow a different procedure
a. Complete interviews in May or June
b. Submit OptomCAS application in July or August
c. Complete PPAC by September 1
