for Women in Government & Civil Society (CWGCS), Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy, University at
Albany, State University of New York. Graduates join the national NEW Leaders Network.
Program
Participants will take part in training sessions, experiential workshops and fieldtrips to help them explore and
develop their own leadership capacity. Students will receive an introduction to the women's rights movement,
politics and policymaking, campaign and community organizing, coalition building in diverse and global
communities, and advocacy skills. Networking and mentoring opportunities and special events will take place
throughout the week. Participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement upon successful completion of the
program and are encouraged to implement a project back on their home campus or community for which they
can receive a mini-grant.
