Microsoft Word 2013 Microsoft Excel 2013 INSTRUCTIONAL PHILOSOPHY Page 2 of 5 My goal for any class that I teach is for you to learn. My philosophy therefore places all my efforts into you leaving my classroom with more knowledge, skills and abilities than when you entered my classroom. I focus more on completing tasks successfully, efficiently and professionally. What you learn here are skills and attitudes to make you successful in the workplace. In this class it is absolutely imperative that you are NOT afraid to make mistakes! There’s a paradigm shift for you. I want you to make mistakes! I want you to learn from your mistakes and learn how to fix your mistakes. Most of all I want you to change your frame of mind from making mistakes to “lessons learned”. “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. “ Thomas A. Edison I want you to use what you learn because I strongly agree with the philosophy that …”knowledge is nothing if it is not shared and applied…” So when you leave this course, please use the skills you’ve learned every chance you get because if you don’t, you’ll lose it if you don’t use it!
