Reports:
(1) Pastor’s Report – Father Raj
a. Lots of prayers are needed parishioners who are sick, especially with cancer
b. Fr. Raj will be traveling from 7/6 – 8/7
c. Next Meeting at end of August
(2) Building Committee Report – Raymond Curtice
a. Concepts are set and now we are concentrating on the capital campaign
(3) Landing Ministry – Brad Carter – Postponed until August
Old Business:
(1) 2014 – New member Discernment Process; Process needs review and Action – Bernice
a. Consider changing the rotations
b. Have members review Diocesan norms at home and have separate meeting to discuss
(2) Pastoral Council EIM Certification Status
a. Refresher end of Sept. at St. Jerome
b. Basic at end of August at St. Mary’s
(3) Results of Ministry Sign-up weekend June 7 – 8, 2014
a. 114 forms turned in
b. 45 with same ministries
c. 45 with new ministries
d. 24 with adds/drops of a ministry
New Business:
(1) Suggestions via E-mail 0
(2) Suggestion Box; Kids pictures
(3) Issues brought forward to Pastoral Council
a. West Entrance not unlocked in a timely manner for Masses – It happened once and is
usually not a problem
b. Conflicts for Hall Space – It was unfortunate that a conflict arose. Hopefully the new
building will minimize the problem
c. Picture in Cry Room – Many people in the church use the room as a cry room and have
never heard a complaint before. Many people love the painting.
(4) Projection Screen – Rick Morales
a. Is there interest in having one? Yes if done well
b. Liz Rodgers to contact Worship office at Diocese
August Meeting –
PC Dinner Sunday; 8/24 at 6:30 PM at Luigi’s in McGregor for members and their families.
