Counselor/Chaplain UGM Center for Women and Children in CDA Full-time Responsibilities Provide counseling and pastoral care to assigned individuals and groups Train and manage volunteer staff to provide pastoral care and counseling Support assessment of new guests during intake process Learn and oversee the implementation of the “Genesis Process” curriculum used in UGM recovery programs Work effectively with a recovery program team to provide safe and healing environment for residents seeking recovery physically, emotionally, and spiritually in a Bible-centered, Christian, faith-based program Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in pastoral care and counseling, biblical counseling, and/or pastoral care or the equivalent degree and experience Proven effectiveness in counseling, pastoral care, discipleship ministry Experience with addiction recovery counseling Strong leadership and administrative skills An ability to train and manage volunteers Strong team player with healthy interpersonal skills Ability to model and facilitate Christ-like crisis management and conflict resolution Basic computer skills Preferred Qualifications Master’s level Licensed Mental Health Counselor, biblical counseling, and/or pastoral care or the equivalent degree and experience.
