 Status update for 2013 PFDAA festival
 We need to know the numbers and where we are in the
planning process
 Where are we with the deadlines? Deadlines have been
changing and haven’t been vocalized enough.
 So far we have about 70 participants
 We have hotel rooms saved until the 1st of June, but we
should probably start letting go of rooms if we’re not
going to have that many participants.
 At this point in time there is no Gala Scheduled
 Misa mentioned in an email that money should be
taken away from the festival because of the possibility
of decreasing the amount of choreographers
 The deadline is currently ended
 Possibly cancel the festival
 Possibly just have the Canadian group, who has already
purchased their tickets, come down and either have a
workshop with us, or schedule events and activities for
them to do.
 The PFDAA Festival is canceled.

contact Troy to teach the American Piece, and
determine which dance we should do

Action Items Update
 Request for grant money - Remove - Festival funding
based upon existing expense projections. No additional
funding being pursued at the present time.

 Costume updates
 Spisz costumes have all come through and been
sorted
 Chabry jackets will be finished by 4/27/13


 Theresa would like to start concentrating on
getting the kids groups looking better costumewise
 Possibly purchase new costume pieces
 Little girls blouses would be about $10.50 a
piece
 Action Item: Theresa will purchase
about 12-16 shirts

Brian is checking with Ryszek for info, and will
let Theresa know what he finds out about shirts
and blouses
Talking about the photos for the costume book, which
photos have been taken, and where they can be found
Hire Chojecki even without PFDAA festival
 Can we afford to have a choreographer come
here just for us?
New membership
 If we want to continue everything, we need to
recruit more members, especially men.
 Not just Edziu can be requiting
Grants / projects team
 Next training round is May
 Next grant application round is due in July for
spending in September
 Jacie is looking for specifics that we need grants
for and what the plans are
Christmas Party update
 No money was made
 Next year there will be a few changes (possibly)
such as maybe no band, or DJ, but just a
possibility.
 We ended up making $182 on the Christmas
Party
 About 300 invites were sent out, and 200 came.
Less than that RSVP’d, and some invitations
didn’t make it to people
 Discussion on moving the Christmas party date
up to the weekend after New Year’s
 Possibly having the party the same weekend as
Jaselka?
 Talk about having a meeting where we review
the Christmas Party
 Create deadlines for everything that needs to
be decided for the Christmas Party
Dolina officers yahoo group
 Have a yahoo group for just the officers’
 Easier to send out emails
 Easier to handle information and share it
 Action: Edziu will create a yahoo group for the
officers’
Still need many workers for Festival of Nations, Terri will
send out an email

General meeting presentation
 Went through all of the slides, made edits and took out
slides that were no longer relevant.
 Meeting will be held May 18th with a pot luck BBQ after
