Q) How do I upload multiple files at the same time in Cascade Server?
Uploading Your Files
To upload multiple files at the same time use the Zip Archive tool in Cascade Server.
Step 1: Place all of the files you wish to upload together in one folder on your desktop.
Step 2: Compress your folder using the zip utility in Windows. Instructions are below:
(1) Right-click on the folder you wish to compress.
(2) Hover over “Send to” on the resulting pop-up menu. A menu will appear to the right. Select
“Compressed (zipped) folder.”
A zipped folder will appear in your directory. This is the folder you will upload.
Step 3: Open Cascade Server and navigate to your site.
Step 4: From the main menu bar in Cascade Server select Tools and Zip Archive.
A file upload dialog box will appear in the main content pane. You can browse to the folder you would
like to upload your files to using the Placement Folder option.
Use the “Browse” button to find your zip folder on your desktop.
Once you hit “Submit” Cascade Server will upload and unzip your folder and files.
Moving Multiple Files
Once you’ve uploaded your files you may wish to move them to an existing folder. To move multiple
files in Cascade Server:
(1) Select the folder the files are in to view options in the main content pane.
(2) Check the box next to the row header to select all of your files.
(3) Use the option Move under With Selected below the table:
You will be given an option to browse your files and select a placement folder to move your files to.
