1. CFMS Scholarship funded by RBC® Royal Bank: One $2,500 scholarship at each school!
The CFMS and the RBC Royal Bank of Canada are partners in financial wellness, including an annual CFMS
Scholarship funded by RBC Royal Bank in the amount of $2,500 for one student at each CFMS member school.
The CFMS and Royal Bank are delighted to present this scholarship opportunity to students!
Eligibility: Any non-CFMS executive medical student that is in good standing at a CFMS member school.
Criteria:
• Contributions to the medical school community and fellow medical students
• Extra-curricular activities and student club involvement
• Personal Statement (300-500 words)

• Current curriculum vitae
• Personal statement (300 - 500 words)
• Two supporting statements (max 250 words each) from fellow medical students
Deadline: Completed applications are to be submitted via email to vpservices@cfms.org with the subject line
“CFMS-RBC Scholarship”. All applications are due at 11:59pm EST Sunday February 6th, 2012. Late submissions
will not be accepted. Winners will be announced at the CFMS Spring General Meeting April 15 - 16 2012.

6. Student Initiative Grants: Application deadline Friday Feb 3 2011
Do you have a special initiative in need of funding? The SIG fund was established in response to the increasing
number of medical student run initiatives and the need for official and financial support from the CFMS. Over
the last two years many successful projects have benefitted from direct CFMS funding including charitable,
educational and social events all organized by medical students. The goal is to assist students in realizing
events or initiatives that promote interaction between CFMS students and member schools.
The criteria for your proposed initiative to be accepted and eligible for CFMS funding is based on guidelines
available at www.cfms.org. The deadline for the 2011-2012 Student Initiative Grants is February 3, 2012.

Are you interested in global health issues and initiatives? The CFMS Global Health Program facilitates ethical
global health education, advocacy, action and experiences through coordinated national programming. The
CFMS offers opportunities for Global Health Exchanges including pre-departure training as well as info on
conferences and other opportunities. There are so many ways to get involved!
