Bibb County Board of Education met in Regular Session on December 8, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. in the Central Office.
The Invocation was given by Mrs. Jones followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mr. McMillan.
Roll Call was conducted by Board President, Mike Oakley:

Mr. Moody made a motion to approve the agenda. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. McMillan made a motion to approve Bills for November, 2015. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed
unanimously..
November 2015 Financials and Bank Reconciliations were received.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to approve Minutes from November 10 & November 17, 2015 Board meetings. Mrs. Dailey
seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to approve the General Fund to cover the benefits for the National Board of Professional
Teachers allocations. Amount will not exceed $4,900.00. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve low bidder for Bid # 15/16-02, Tractor for West Blocton High School. Mrs. Dailey
seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve catastrophic leave for Jessica Taylor, Teacher, for 12-14 weeks. Mr. McMillan
seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve payment of Mr. Cecil LaGrone for contracted services to oversee records
disposition update for the district. Payment of $30 per hour will be made from district general funds. Mrs. Dailey seconded the
motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve payment of Sandra Redden, as consultant, to provide Autism Awareness training
to Woodstock Elementary Teachers December 9, 2015. Payment of $750 for 5 hours training will be paid from Woodstock
Elementary Special Education funds. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve Kristen Nash and Tammy Morton, to transport 5 West Blocton Elementary
students, 3rd & 4th graders, to the University of Montevallo on December 11, 2015. Students will use the school day participating
in the AMSTI Science Expo. Student will travel by Mrs. Nash’s personal vehicle. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed
unanimously.
Mr. McMillan made a motion to approve 6th grade students of Centreville Middle School to travel by charter bus to New
Orleans, LA, on Friday, March 11, 2016. Students will depart school at 5:00 a.m. and return 10:30 p.m. same day. Students will
visit areas studied through the AMSTI science curriculum; Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, National World War II Museum,
Aquarium of the Americas and the Audubon Zoo. Trip funded by students and parents payments. Mr. Moody seconded the
motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Fred Hardin presented information concerning Woodstock baseball. No action taken.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to go into Executive Session – Student. Mr. McMillan seconded the motion which passed
unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to return to Regular Session. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to re enroll student T.R. into Bibb County Schools. Student may return January, 2016 to
the Alternative school for behavior monitoring before returning to regular class
Mrs. Jones made a motion to approve the resignation of Davis Patridge, as Janitor, Bibb County High School. Effective
December 9, 2015. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve the resignation of April Clements as Special Education Aide, West Blocton Elementary.
Effective December 18, 2015. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve the resignation of Cindy Blake as District Lead Nurse. Effective December 18, 2015.
Mr. McMillan seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to approve the resignation of Tracy Vincent, Bus Driver. Effective December 18, 2015. Mrs. Dailey
seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve the resignation of Collett Thomas, Bus Driver. Effective December 18, 2015. Mrs.
Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve the resignation of George Henderson, Maintenance Worker. Effective December 18,
2015. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve Eric Hiott as Head Football Coach, West Blocton High School. Mrs. Dailey seconded the
motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve Amy Elmore as West Blocton High Band Auxillary Sponsor. Mr. Moody seconded the
motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to approve Jennifer Watts & Rachel Cromer as classroom substitutes, Regina Latham as cnp or
janitor sub, Cindy Blake as a nurse sub. Mr. McMillan seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to go into Executive Session: Personnel. Mr. McMillan seconded the motion which passed
unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to return to Regular Session. Mr. McMillan seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Next Board Meeting: January 12, 2016, 5:00 p.m.
Mr. McMillan made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:25 p.m. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed
unanimously.
We the undersigned, being all of the Bibb County Board of Education in attendance of the December 8, 2015 Board Meeting, at
which time a quorum was present and voting do hereby sign these minutes of the within and foregoing meeting to things had and
done at said meeting.
