Board Meeting
July 22, 2015

Bibb County Board of Education met in Regular Session on July 22, 2015, in the Central Office.
The Invocation was given by Mrs. Jones followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mr. Moody.
Roll Call was conducted by Board President, Mike Oakley:

Mr. Moody made a motion to amend the agenda. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed
unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve the agenda. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed
unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve the Child Nutrition bid for milk to Barbers, and the juice bid to Coca
Cola. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve a stipend for Randolph Elementary School CIP Leadership Team to
update local school improvement plan on Monday, July 27, 2015. Payment of $100 for participation in a full day
session will be made from RES Title I funds. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve the 2015-2016 Salary Schedule for Certified and Support Personnel,
received July 9, 2015 Board meeting. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to approve Minutes from July 9, 2015 Board meeting. Mr. Moody seconded the
motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to approve the employment of traffic officers Chief Mike Nichols and Chief Terry
Nichols for the 2015-2016 school year to perform morning and afternoon traffic duty for 180 student days.
Payment of $229.10 monthly for each officer will be paid through payroll from September 2015 through June 2016.
Mr. Richard Cash, Transportation Director has authority to move traffic officers around as he deems necessary. Mrs.
Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to approve a $125 stipend to be paid to Eric Rhine to attend an all day
comprehensive guidance and counseling plan workshop in Montgomery on July 15, 2015. Stipend and mileage to be
paid from ASAP funds. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to approve the West Blocton High School Band - Policy Proposal - received on July
9, 2015 Board Meeting. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to approve and accept the resignation of Kenny Lowery as Maintenance Helper,
effective July 31, 2015. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to rescind the employment of Lindsay Jackson as Woodstock Elementary Pre K
Auxiliary Teacher, approved on July 9, 2015 Board meeting. Applicant’s request. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion
which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to rescind the employment of Leigh Ann Armstrong as Special Ed Aide, West
Blocton Elementary. Applicant’s request. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to employ Jessica Brandon as Pre K Program Auxiliary Teacher, Woodstock
Elementary School. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to employ April Clements as Special Education Aide, West Blocton Elementary
School. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to employ Cami Pratt Hammond, Biology Teacher, Bibb County High School. Mrs.
Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion for the approval of Christina Sciaroni & Thomas Gene Landers to volunteer with
Bibb County High School Band camp. Background requirements met. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed
unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to add the following as substitutes Vicki Watkins - classroom substitute, Kenny
Lowery- bus substitute. Mr. Moody seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to accept the resignation of Kim Mabry as head girls basketball coach at West
Blocton Middle School. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to accept the resignation of Joe Clements as assistant boys basketball coach at
West Blocton High School. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mr. Moody made a motion to employ Debra B. Graff as Spanish/English Language Arts teacher at West
Blocton High School. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to transfer special education teacher Ginger Smith from Brent Elementary School
to the special education Pre-School teacher position at West Blocton Elementary School. Mrs. Jones seconded the
motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to transfer Kaitlyn Crowe from collaborative special education teacher at Brent
Elementary School to the multi-handicap classroom at Brent Elementary School. Mr. Moody seconded the motion
which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Dailey made a motion to employ Jessica Smith as special education teacher at Brent Elementary School.
Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Mrs. Jones made a motion to transfer special education aide Michelle Fancher from Centreville Middle
School to Bibb County High School. Mrs. Dailey seconded the motion which passed unanimously.

Mr. Moody made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:15 a.m. Mrs. Jones seconded the motion which passed
unanimously.
We the undersigned, being all of the Bibb County Board of Education in attendance of the July 22, 2015 Board
Meeting, at which time a quorum was present and voting do hereby sign these minutes of the within and foregoing
meeting to things had and done at said meeting.
