Town Board Moments
1. Citizen Concerns – a.
Resident addressed the
board about the
playground equipment
situation in Oxbow Park.
It was inquired about
what was needed to
bring the old equipment
up to code or replace it.
Mr. Shaw reported that
he is waiting to hear
back from the Town’s
insurance company.
2. Mr. Montgomery
addressed the board
with a request to use the
basement of the Town
Hall to hold its Annual
Haunted House for
Halloween this year. The
board agreed to let him
use it.
3. A motion was made
and carried to reappoint
Cindy Shaw for another
six year term as
Assessor for the Town of
Antwerp.
4. A motion was made
and carried for Mrs.
Tyler, court clerk to
apply for a grant to get
new chairs and other
office items needed for
the Courtroom.
5. Mr. Hall reported that
the men have been busy
assisting with the work
being done on Main St.
Next Town Board
meeting will be on Oct.
14th, 2013 @ Town Hall
@ 7PM.
Village Board
Moments
1.Citizen Concerns- None
2. DPW REPORT:
VanBuren Street was
grounded. Mayor Jones
stated that he has given
DPW Supt. Pitts a
monthly report to fill out
so the Board is aware of
any projects they may
have planned.
3. SEWER PROJECT:
All MWBE utilization
plans have been
submitted and approved
by NYSEFC. We are
closing on short term
financing on 9/19 with
NYSEFC, our current
BANS are due 9/25.
Continental Construction
is on site as of 9/9.
4. Attorney Gebo is
currently working on
drawing up an easement
for the boat launch area
as the driveway to this
area is on private
property owned by
Jonathan Cole.
5. A motion was made and
carried to hold Fall Clean up
days on Oct 21st -25th
6. A motion was made and
carried to provide a
maximum of $7000 toward
the ice skating rink roof.

meeting is Oct. 9th,
2013 @ Village/ Fire
Hall @7PM.

What’s Up in Antwerp
October 20: Youth Halloween
party/dance @ Antwerp
Recreation Park 12:30 - 2:00
party games, 2:00 - 5:00
dance with DJ. Light snacks
and kool-aid will be provided.
We are looking for adult
volunteers to help supervise
the games. We are also
looking to borrow about 30
bales of hay for the day, hay
will be returned that evening.
This free event is on rain or
shine as we have tents. All
Antwerp youth welcome.
