The story is about an armadillo who needs a little help from his friends in the orange groove to find his way back home. The amazing words for the week are; armadillo, burrow, tortoise, rattlesnake, grubs, and insects. Please review the sight words; have, is, one, two, three, four, and five. The letter/sound of the week is Ss. The reading comprehension focus skill of the week is setting and we will learn about proper nouns. Important Dates Oct. 1-5 -- Fall Break (No School) We’re Also Learning … This week in Math we will continue Chapter 2; Compare Numbers to 5. In this chapter students will be exploring number sense concepts by comparing numbers and groups using the words less than, great than, fewer, more and same as. This week we will continue to read and learn about food chains. Students are learning about the relationships of plants and animals in an ecosystem. Classroom Info Our class special will be Library.
