problems. E.g An Egyptian walks 4 miles to
The Pyramids and then walks another 12
miles to the River Nile. How many miles has
he walked altogether.
Write the numbers 1 – 10 in the Egyptian
number system. Create your own additions
and subtractions using this number system.

Create a symmetrical picture of an Ancient
Egyptian mummy.

Create a model of a square based pyramid.
How many faces, edges and vertices does it
have?

Find out three facts about Ancient Egypt and use
these facts to write three multiple choice quiz
questions. Remember to use question marks.

Use hieroglyphs to write a message to a friend or
family member. Can they crack your Egyptian
code?

Create a fact file about ancient Egypt. Think
about The River Nile, The Pyramids, the Gods,
Egyptian food and drink, Egyptian clothing and
Egyptian housing.

Write a postcard to a friend telling them about
what Egypt is like. This can be modern day Egypt


List ten things that we would not see in Ancient Egypt and
why AND list ten things that we would see in Ancient
Egypt and why.

Certain animals were very important for ancient Egyptians
create a fact file or presentation about why certain
animals were important.
Art and Design Technology

Make a mummy and/or a sarcophagus.

Make a model of the Great Pyramids or the
Sphinx. Use any materials you would like.

Research Egyptian jewellery and head dresses.
Design your own and make it using suitable
materials.

Research ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics create a
piece of art work writing your name in
hieroglyphics.

Research Egyptian Gods and Goddesses. Create
a portrait of one of them.
Please choose 3- 4 pieces of homework to complete including at least one from the
literacy and one from the numeracy section.
