Our students are held to a very high standard of integrity. Our teachers explicitly teach character lessons daily to provide real life situations when students are challenged with peer pressure, bad decisions, bullying, etc. This year every student will receive a character report card quarterly attached to his/her academic report card. Ensure that you are reviewing the character expectations and reiterating the expectations of our school with your child regularly. October’s character trait of the month is Responsibility. Shared ValuesAt Imagine Schools we also believe in Shared Values- Integrity, Justice and Fun. Integrity is when decisions are made that affect the whole schools and doing what’s right when no one is watching. Justice is providing all with exactly what he/she needs to be successful; it’s not equal. Fun is a little different; it’s the opportunity to make decisions that effect our school and live with the accountability of those decisions. Harvest Costume Parade We have partnered with Benjamin Stoddert MS again to host our K-4 students in a costume parade through their school on 10/29/15 at 2 pm. All students should bring his/her costume to school and we ask every family to donate a bag or two of candy. Family members wishing to participate MUST have his/her fingerprints through the Board of Education on file at our school. W.A.T.C.H Dogs Program This is a national program to increase male participation within schools. We are looking for all fathers, grandfathers, uncles, dads, and brothers interested in volunteering with various tasks to be a part of this program. Having men in the building helps to increase academic achievement for students. If you are interested and missed the initial meeting, please contact Mrs. Mboma or Mr. Kornegay at 301-8085600 or raeshauna.mboma@pgcps.org and khayree.kornegay@pgcps.org.
