Part of the Bowen Group, Bowen Construction Ltd. is a diversified, full Irish building and civil engineering contractor with annual sales of $220M, and
is among the largest construction companies in Ireland.
Managed a team of forty (40) to successfully complete the construction of the buildings listed below. I dealt
directly with the supervisors of each individual sub-contractor and coordinated health and safety, quality,
supervision, supply chain, training of junior engineers and managing labour.

Demolition of a fifteen (15) storey apartment block and the construction of a new
student accommodation village.

Cork/Ardee St mixed-use commercial/residential development. - $34m
Construction of a seven (7) storey mixed-use development with a two (2) storey
underground car park.

Haddington Rd. office block development - $9m
Construction of a five (5) storey office block with underground car stacker system.

Whitechurch housing development - $19m
Construction of thirty two (32) residential houses and waste water treatment plant.

Half Moon St. Development - $41m
Construction of a four (4) storey retail and office space over basement retail space.
Duties:

Surveying including pilling, dewatering system, reinforced concrete floors, reinforced concrete frame, capping
beam construction, steel frame, precast elements, associated services internal & external, external cladding and
brick work, internal partitions, roof screeds, reconstructing existing buildings and numerous other surveying
procedures.

Managed a team of sub-contractors to ensure projects were completed on time, budget and according to design
codes.

Partnered with the Quantity Surveyor to manage deviations in contract works and cost implications of
sub-contractor work. Also worked jointly with the Architect & Design Engineers to troubleshoot site problems.

Managed the supply chain of all project related construction materials

Created a Microsoft Project Program to monitor the projects progress on a daily basis and to ensure the job
finished on time.

Appointed Night Shift Manager in charge of all associated night work on Half Moon Development which
included road closures for associated services and finishes.

Co-ordinated the tower cranes in order to maximize their productivity

Liaised with local stakeholders and authorities to coordinate work in relation to Gas, Water, Phone, Foul Water,
Storm Water, Traffic Lights, Electric and E-Net Broadband.

Ensured and monitored a “safety first mindset” on site at all times.

Trained Junior Engineers in on-site procedures.
