October 2015
Dear Parents/Carers,
I am not sure where the time is
going this year but here we are in October
ALREADY. Pupils are working hard on their
new topics and making good progress in
their learning. Pupils have already been
involved in a range of events within and out
with the school – and we have plenty more
planned for the year ahead.
We have had positive feedback from the
reward systems that have been put in place
as part of our new Positive Relationships,
Positive Behaviour Policy. Some teachers
are using ‘Class DoJo’ and trialling
different ways of communicating with
parents.
Sponsored Event
Many thanks for your generosity and
commitment. Pupil raised £1213.87 at the

Communication
At
Dalmilling
communication is vital
to us as we recognise
the importance of
Parent Partnership.



If you need to discuss anything regarding
your child the class teachers are usually
available at the end of the school day
(phone the school office to check Tel
612736 NOT 264738).



Andrew Robinson (P4 – 7) and Karen Miller
(P1-3) are the Principal Teachers and Ken
O’Hara and Paula Murphy are the Depute
Headteachers. All members of staff will
strive to respond on the first day of
contact but this is not always possible.
All staff will aim to respond to any
communication within 3 working days. If a
staff member calls 3 times with no answer
we will usually wait for the parent/carer to
call us back.
Polite reminders
The majority of pupils have been attending
school dressed smartly in school uniform.
Could we ask parents to support us in the
following:
 Remember PE kit.
 Plain water (not flavoured) to drink
in classrooms.
 Stud earrings only (taped or
removed for PE).
 Breakfast Club is from 8.30 – 8.50.
 Please do not walk across the
carpark when bringing children to
school.
