Roma light steers hit 372c/kg
A total of 3094 head of cattle were consigned at Roma’s Store Sale.
Weaners under 220kg topped at 372c/kg and averaged 322c/kg, while weaner
steers in the 220-280kg range reached 334c/kg and averaged 301c/kg. Steers in the
280-350kg range reached 332c/kg and averaged 298c/kg, and steers in the 350400kg range reached 306c/kg and averaged 292c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400550kg range topping at 310c/kg and averaging 303c/kg.
S Kidman & Co, Morney Plains, Windorah, sold Santa-cross steers to 372c/kg for
163kg to return $606/head. The Santa-cross heifers sold to 302c for 162kg to return
$490.
Peel Mungerie, Inverness, Blackall, sold Santa steers sold to 362c for 157kg to
return $571. The Santa-cross heifers sold to 314c for 135kg to return $426.
