TOOGOOLAWAH SALES REPORT - 16 MAY 2014
Toogoolawah yarding of 5,400 saw vendors putting in a special effort to present their cattle tick free to clean
areas on the day of sale. 2,900 head were presented this way and buyers appreciated the effort and rewarded the
weaner producers with very commendable prices.
Seven ‘B’ Doubles were at Taroom & Wondoan properties by Saturday afternoon. Five ‘B’ Doubles in Victoria
by Saturday night and two ‘B’ Doubles at Armidale on Saturday. Not to mention many other small
consignments to other tick free destinations. Thanks to purchases for recognizing this effort.
A feature of the day was the southern buyer competition for the Charolais x heifers, with large drafts finding
their way well into NSW & Victoria.
