Roma Store Sale Summary Report May 13, 2014
Large numbers of cattle were once again trucked into Roma Saleyards on Monday
night with a total of 13,600 head unloaded off trucks. The Roma Agents Association
decided to hold all cows, including P.T.I.C and store conditioned cows, until this
Thursday’s Roma Prime Sale. A total of 11,138 head of cattle were sold at Roma’s
Store Sale.
Weaners under 220kg topped at 220c/kg and averaged 171c/kg, while weaner
steers in the 220-280kg range reached 225c/kg and averaged 180c/kg. Steers in the
280-350kg range reached 225c/kg and averaged 180c/kg, and steers in the 350400kg range reached 198c/kg and averaged 170c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400550kg range topping at 189c/kg and averaging 164c/kg.
Cows and calves sold to $610/unit and averaged $481/unit.
