Roma heavy feeder steers make 198c/kg
A total of 9325 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Store Sale.
Weaners under 220kg topped at 200c/kg and averaged 167c/kg, while weaner
steers in the 220-280kg range reached 204c/kg and averaged 174c/kg. Steers in the
280-350kg range reached 207c/kg and averaged 172c/kg, and steers in the 350400kg range reached 198c/kg and averaged 174c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400550kg range topping at 198c/kg and averaging 169c/kg.
Golden Pastoral Holdings, Nullin, Yuleba, sold Charolais-cross steers to 202c/kg for
297kg to return $600/head. The Hereford-cross heifers sold to 159c for 338kg to
return $538.
E & C Rolfe, Marie Downs, Roma, sold Charolais-cross steers to 200c for 328kg to
return $657. The Charolais-cross heifers sold to 169c for 331kg to return $560.
