Press Release
Unify partners with Win to launch UC in the Cloud in Wallonia
Huizingen, Belgium – January 15, 2014 – Unify (formerly known as Siemens
Enterprise Communications) has partnered with Win (the B2B ICT arm of Group
Tecteo) to launch its Unified Communications technology in the French-speaking part
of Belgium, offered under the label “Cloud Telephony.” This virtual Unified Communications (UC) solution, comprising voice, data and video, provides organizations with a
wide range of services that enable optimized team performance through harmonized
collaboration. Together, Win and Unify will meet the needs of customer organizations
with at least ten users in terms of connectivity, security, communication and mobility,
Cloud and datacenter availability. The Cloud Telephony solution is available in Win’s
Private Cloud and is fully secured and managed from Win's Wallonia Data Center
(WDC).
With the emergence of new ways of working, including increased mobility, team work
at a distance, teleworking and BYOD, organizations need to be able to provide staff
with the right technology to keep them connected and ready to collaborate.
“Unify believes that the evolution towards Cloud-based solutions is the future. After
working together successfully with Telefonica in Spain and Telecom Luxembourg, we
are launching a Belgian partnership with Win, a fast-growing telecom operator with
strong industrial ties in Wallonia and Brussels. This joint investment in Cloud
technology will also serve to stimulate the local economy,” says Arnaud Spirlet, Managing Director, Unify BeLux.
Cloud Telephony offers its users access to a platform of shared professional instruments (telephony, high-definition video, e-mail, etc.), on-the-job or on-the-go, from
any device (PC, laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc.).
At a time when organizations and their IT departments are facing serious budgetary
challenges, the Cloud model offers numerous advantages: users pay-as-they-use and

the solution evolves without need for further investments in new equipment.
Three user profiles
Cloud Telephony comes in three variations, adapted to the needs of each user profile:
The “Communicate” profile comprises fixed telephony, choice of terminal
(PC, smartphone, tablet) and mobile numbers;
The “Connect” profile includes these functions and adds VoIP access from all
terminals, access to video conferencing, and voice and fax messaging in the
mailbox;
The “Collaborate” profile includes all of the functions listed above, and adds
the One Number function and a contact and presence list, instant messaging,
conference tools and shared internet.
A global Cloud offering available on a Private Cloud
Cloud Telephony is an extension of the Cloud offering developed by Win in 2013 and
launched with the acquisition of the WDC. It allows Win to offer a full-blown Cloud
solution for professionals (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). The integration of the infrastructure in
Belgium, in the core of the Win network, guarantees optimal data security and management.
About Win
An ICT operator and integrator, Win offers tailor-made solutions to companies, organizations and health care institutions by developing technologies that match their activities (networking, internet, communication, mobility, security, cloud) in combination
with optimal service levels.
In 2009 Win became the ICT arm of the Tecteo Group, responsible for all ICT business
activities. This allowed Group Tecteo to strengthen the offerings of VOO, telecommunications arm, thanks to Win’s B2B competence towards the corporate, institutional
and public markets. This integration was also inspired by the complementary technology offerings of VOO and Win, with coaxial cable as a professional network solution in
addition to other network solutions such as fiber optics based networks.
