TE Connectivity Application Tooling Production Consultation Service Application Tooling Field Service is now offering a proactive consultation service designed to assist customers in identifying improvement opportunities in the production process. Focusing on the wire harness industry, the TE Connectivity Production Consultation Service is designed to systematically evaluate equipment and personnel in the manufacturing environment and to provide recommendations along with an action plan to improve manufacturing efficiency. This is accomplished through a visit to the customer facility to review the operation and identify areas where productivity improvement and/or cost savings could be realized. Interviews consisting of a standard list of general questions are performed with a small sampling of personnel in key areas such as Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering and Management. Our skilled Field Engineers will combine the interview results with their own observations to identify opportunities for improvement. A specialized tool allows the Field Engineer to quickly assemble the data into a feedback report which is provided to the customer at the end of the assessment. Working with the customer, TE can facilitate the process of implementing changes designed to address the opportunities identified in the assessment process. The TE Connectivity Production Consultation Service is a valuable tool that will help customers to reveal those areas where improvements in production efficiency may be possible.
