1. Reorganization, Continuing Education: Pat
Alvano
Noted that 14% of the funds will be paid out of the general fund for the
third position noted.

Associated Student Body: Meg Rothi
No report.

Continuing Education: Connie Wilson
ASB interest survey resulted with 895 people responding (840 on-line).
All responses were positive. The district Research office conducted the
survey.
3.
Classified Advisory Group: Zina Edwards
Next Classified Hawks meeting is Tuesday, November 7.

Communications: AnnMarie Librescu
No report.
5.
Technology: Curt Childress
Paper screening for the Technology Specialist position begins tomorrow.
6.
Budget/SAFE Council: Steve Kawa
DSA approval has been received for the science building. Preparations
are underway to go out to bid for this project.
Staff development funds have not been received at this time.
Steve thanked Mary Halvorson, Larry Mercadante, Sandy Mayo and
Paul Amorino, who joined him serving a hot breakfast to the Project
Hope kids at 1st Presbyterian Church, Orange.

Curriculum and Instruction Council: Laura

Approval has been given to including SLOs on the course outline.
8.
Academic Affairs: Mary Halvorson
First drafts of five-year plans are being submitted – deadline is
November 20.
SCC has committed to serving
breakfast one day each month for
Project Hope. Contact Steve Kawa if
interested in participating.

Student Success Council/Student Services: Cari
Cannon
Last spring Diana Babayan requested the dissolution of the Educational
Support Committee; the designated tasks were complete. The
committee has been collapsed in to the Student Success Council. This
change needs to be discussed and noted on the Framework chart and in
the Handbook when considered by the College Council.
10. Educational Master Plan Council/Academic
Senate: Rosi Enriquez
Currently revising the resolution for Turnitin software.
Approved SLO grid.
A consortium has been created with Foothill DeAnza College for Math
and English – public domain textbooks.
11. President: Juan Vázquez
