TEAM REPORTS
Academic Senate - Mr. Doug Marston
Academic Senate meets on April 17, 2001. Board Policies 3710, 3720 and 3540 are on the
agenda.
Academic Affairs - Dr. Nadine I. Hata
Calendar Committee sent out surveys.
President - Dr. Thomas M. Fallo
The Budget Change Proposal Task Force met April 10, 2001. There was some discussion
about a decrease in next year’s budget. There may be a recommendation to cut the
governor’s programs. April tax returns will provide a clearer picture on where we stand.
The 2002-2003 budget will be reviewed May 18th.
Associated Students Organization - Mr. Bryan Leifer
1. The Annual Student Conference in Sacramento for Lobbying Day was a success.
2. There will be a Student Government Banquet on May 11th.
El Camino Classified Employees - Ms. Luukia Smith
There are currently 114 members in the new classified employees union. A negotiations
team will be formed. The team will go before the board to identify articles for negotiation.
Policies: The following policies were discussed:
7250: Educational Administrators
7260: Classified Supervisors and Managers
7310: Nepotism
Check on whether Administrative Retreat
Rights were adopted and bring back
4/23/01.
Vic Hanson will revise and bring back on
4/23/01.
Look up Education Code 290 and bring
back on 4/23/01.
