Purpose
People credited with this unit standard are able to collect used

up of an in-bound flight.

Explanatory notes
1
Legislation and regulations to be complied with include but are not limited to – the
Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, Biosecurity Act 1993, Health Act 1956,
Food Hygiene Regulations 1974.

In this unit standard the term ‘customer airline specifications’ means the requirements
contained in the manuals and checklists of the customer airline.

In this unit standard the term ‘enteprise requirements’ means the policy and practice
requirements of the catering company.

In this unit standard the term ‘food safety system’ means those procedures and
practices that relate to the safe preparation and handling of food. They include
legislative and enterprise requirements and the recommendations of manufacturers
and suppliers.

Outcome 1
Collect used, and deliver replacement, catering supplies.
Evidence requirements
1.1
Collection of used catering supplies from the aircraft conforms with customer
airline specifications.
1.2
Delivery of replacement catering supplies from kitchen to aircraft conforms with
Apron Operations requirements.
