Purpose
This unit standard is for people employed in automotive sales
and service areas. People credited with this unit standard are
able to plan and implement a product promotion, and analyse
the results of the promotion.

Outcome 1
Plan and implement a product promotion.
Evidence requirements
1.1
Details of a product promotional plan are analysed to determine the viability of
the promotion.
1.2
The product is obtained from the source of supply in sufficient quantity for the
term of promotion.
1.3
The product is advertised by selected media and timed to give the publicity
coverage desired by management.

Analyse results of the promotion.
Evidence requirements
2.1
Assess the results of the product promotion project.
Range
financial, customer feedback, effectiveness of advertising.
2.2
Feasibility of product relaunch is established.
2.3
A report which includes the results of the analysis is prepared for management.
