Explanatory notes 1 Definitions Product safety control measures refer to the methods used to control food safety hazards. Control method, requirements, and record keeping are specified in workplace food safety procedures which typically form part of a workplace food safety program. Organisational requirements refer to instructions to staff on policy and procedures which are documented in memo and/or manual format and are available in the workplace. These include but are not limited to – site-specific and company standard operating procedures (SOPs), occupational health and safety, food safety and quality management requirements. Outcome 2 Load, unload and transport products safely in the dairy industry. Evidence requirements 2.1 Product safety control measures are monitored to ensure that food safety is maintained during transport, in accordance with organisational requirements. Range control measures may include but are not limited to – handling, storage methods, sensory checks, sampling, segregation, temperature control, packaging or labelling. 2.2 Where product safety control requirements are not met, the incident is promptly reported and corrective action is taken, in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.3 Product is transported in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.4 Product is unloaded according to transportation, temperature control, and organisational requirements. 2.5 Product storage vehicles and containers are cleaned in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.6 This unit standard is Product safety information is recorded in accordance with organisational requirements. expiring Replacement information Replaced by standard 29144 This unit standard is expiring.
