Explanatory notes Workplace practices refer to the documented procedures for the machine and/or workplace. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Adjust the various systems of the sheet-fed printing press and associated auxiliary equipment used in the workplace. Range ink delivery and control system, rollers, damping system (offset), press cylinders, feeder, sheet transfer system, register system, delivery system. Evidence requirements 1.1 Printing press and auxiliary equipment adjustments required for optimum operation are identified while carrying out inspection and maintenance. 1.2 Adjustments and repairs required for optimum operation of the press and auxiliary equipment are carried out or reported in accordance with workplace practices. Evidence requirements 2.1 Adjustments required for measuring gauges and instruments used in the workplace are identified while carrying out inspection and maintenance. 2.2 Calibration is checked and adjusted to ensure that accurate production standards are maintained.
