Critical health and safety prerequisites Explanatory notes None. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Make a set of offset plates for sheet-fed small offset printing. Range one set of at least one of the following kinds of plates required to meet job requirements – paper, polymer based, aluminium. Evidence requirements 1.1 Platemaking procedures for the various kinds of plates for the small offset process are explained. Range 1.2 paper, polymer, diffusion transfer aluminium, presensitised aluminium. Plates are selected to meet the requirements of the job specifications.
