Students will take the required unique learning Unit 11 pre-tests on basics of geography

2.

Students will learn about the word “geography” and what it means, as a brief introduction to the unique learning unit.

How will we tell if we’re learning it correctly?

Assessment Methods: Exit tickets / participation grade

Checks for Understanding: pretests

What do I need to be successful?

Materials: Monday folders with the Unique learning book and pictures supports as needed.

What are we learning?

Daily Objective: “IWBAT name a god that comes from another country.”

TEKS/AP/Standards: Modified curriculum/ geography and ELA

How will we learn it?

Learning Activities:

1.

Students will do a HUB DO FIRST “How do we get items we use every day? Where do they come from?”

2.

Students will participate in a choral reading activity of the unique learning leveled book “Where does it come from?”

3.

Students will answer discussion questions during the book (example; “What is a good/service?”)

4.

Students will complete the associated unique learning leveled worksheets for this book and turn in as an exit ticket.

Students will look online and find where items are imported from.

3.

Students will learn vocabulary terms import/export/trade/transportation and technology.

Students will learn about good work ethics and create a poster based on the unique learning guidelines/rubric.
