spiritual, emotional and social needs of young
adolescents. Please see their board in the lobby

Church and how she can be our spiritual mother.

REVISED POLICY AND PROCEDURE
The Archdiocese of Toronto has completed the
revised Policy and Procedure for Cases of Alleged
Misconduct. In April 2010, Archbishop Collins
announced that the Archdiocese would establish a
group of lay experts to review current practices. The
group has concluded their work and in September
2010, meetings were held with priests, deacons and
lay staff of the Archdiocese to review the document.
The safe environment protocol can be accessed
anytime, along with additional resources, through
our website: www.archtoronto.org.
The Archdiocese remains committed to the
protection of all who are within its spiritual and
physical care, especially the most vulnerable. We
continue to pray for anyone who has suffered
violence or abuse, in the church, in their family, or in
society.
Life Teen meets every Saturday evening in the
Stephenson room for teens in grades 9 – 12
beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Please bring a high school aged friend or friends
with you.

Municipal Elections 2010 –
Can I Vote for Catholic School Trustee?
Remember, our next municipal election will be held
on Monday, October 25, 2010. To find out if you are
a (Catholic) separate school supporter, contact
your school board and ask for the Admissions or
Assessment Office. Contact information for all
boards, in addition to other election resources, is
available online at: www.archtoronto.org/trustees.
You can also amend your status at the voting
booth if necessary. When you arrive to vote, verify
that you are registered as a (Catholic) separate
school supporter. If your support status is incorrect
ask to have your status amended. The ballot you
use to vote for other elected officials (mayor, etc.)
will also include candidates for Catholic School
Board Trustee. Even if you do not have children in
our publicly funded Catholic Schools, you still
have the opportunity to vote for Catholic School
Trustees.
To help educate our family of faith, Archbishop
Collins has given permission for Catholic School
Trustee candidates to distribute literature to
parishioners departing weekend masses from now
until October 16/17. Take the time to get to know
the candidates and, most importantly, exercise
your democratic right to vote.
LIBRARY OPENING
The Parish Library will be opened in the Stephenson
room following the 10 a.m. and 12 noon Masses on
Sunday, October 24th.
The library is generally

environment of our school matrix. The evening will be
filled with many games, activities and treats! This
event is free of charge, however, we are asking for
