FIRST RECONCILIATION/COMMUNION
A Parent Information Meeting will be held on
Tuesday, September 21st at 7:00 p.m. If you cannot
attend this meeting, there will be a final meeting on
Sunday, September 26th at 3:00 p.m. It is imperative
that a parent/guardian or appointed person attend one
of these meetings. Please bring a photocopy of your
child’s Roman Catholic Baptism Certificate with you.
There will be a registration fee of $30.00 collected
at the parent meeting.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
On Monday, September 13th, the Knights
of Columbus (St. Anne’s Council 14749)
will be sponsoring a Blood Donor Clinic
at Kennedy Road Tabernacle on Kennedy Road.
It runs between 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Remember to
tell the clinic (or any future clinic) that you are from
St. Anne’s Parish – Knights of Columbus 14749.
CENTERING PRAYER GROUP
Centering Prayer gathers on Thursday mornings
after the 9:15 a.m. Mass and Rosary. All are
welcome to join for quiet meditation, movie and
discussion.
CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE (C.W.L.)
The next meeting of St. Anne’s
Catholic Women’s League will be
held on Tuesday, September 28th at
7:15 p.m. in the Stephenson room.
Please note the change in start time.
All ladies of the parish are welcome to come out
and see what we are all about.

THE EDGE FUNDRAISER AND NEWS
LIFE TEEN
The EDGE are having a BBQ fundraiser on this
weekend following all masses. Join them in the
parking lot for a $5.00 hamburger or hot dog,
bottle of water and a bag of chips combo or $2.00
for cookies and coffee or tea available only at
8:15 a.m. Mass.
Life Teen will meet every Saturday evening in the
Stephenson room for teens in grades 9 – 12
beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Our
Fall
kick-off
will
be
on
Saturday, September 18th. Please bring a high
school aged friend or friends with you.
Registration for EDGE children in grades 6, 7 and
8 to attend on friday evenings will also take place
during the BBQ.
MASS OF COMFORT AND HOPE
The start-up date for the EDGE on friday evenings
will be on September 24th beginning at 7:00 in the
church.
HARVEST YOUR TALENTS
INFORMATION WEEKEND

After all Masses, we invite YOU into the
Stephenson Room to receive a “TASTE” of our
HARVEST of many activities here at St. Anne’s Parish.
This is an opportunity for NEW PARISH MEMBERS to
find out what St. Anne’s is all about and register in the
Parish.
Also for our existing members to “TASTE”
something new for the coming HARVEST TIME!
Please take time to go through to find
out more about these ministries, or just to
wish Fr. Damian a “Happy Birthday” and enjoy
some treats!
MARTYRS’ SHRINE PILGRIMAGE
WITH BISHOP BOISSONNEAU
For the 7th year Bishop Boissonneau will be
leading the Annual Western Pastoral Region’s
Pilgrimage to the Canadian Martyrs’ Shrine in
Midland on September 11th. The theme is “Good
Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
(Mark 10:17). Parishioners driving to Midland are
warmly welcome to join beginning with Mass at
10:00 a.m. at the Polish Altar followed by prayer
and activities until 3:15 p.m.
Mass of Comfort and Hope
This is a special Mass focusing on
comforting those who have experienced
the loss of a loved one.
You are invited to participate in this
joyful celebration.
The Mass of Comfort & Hope
will be held on
Monday, September 27th, @ 7:00 pm
“Please bring a photo with you of those you would like
to
be
remembered
at
this
celebration.”
(in a frame if possible).
A reception will follow in the Stephenson room.
CONCERT AT ST. ANNE’S CHURCH
Jim Cowan, renowned singer, songwriter,
and worship leader for Conferences and
leader of Youth Praise and Worship at the
Franciscan University in Steubenville,
Ohio, will be coming to St. Anne’s
Church. Jim will offer a live concert and Festival of
Praise on Thursday, Oct 7th at 7:00 p.m. There will
be no cost for admission. A free will offering would be
appreciated.
Archdiocese of Toronto Office of Refugees
On Wednesday, September 29th in the Stephenson
room following the 7:00 p.m. Mass, there will be a
presentation by the Archdiocese of Toronto, Office
of Refugees.
Archbishop Collins would like us to consider
sponsoring refugees from Israel where Christian
families are under attack facing systematic
elimination similar to genocide.
