Further Ahead……….
continued over….
This Weekend
November –
Remembering our
departed loved ones.
Last weekend you received a paper
on which I invite you with your
families to write down the names of
as many of your departed loved ones
as you can remember. It might be
an opportunity to share memories of
them with each other – an perhaps
help you children get to know some
of their more distant relatives a little
more.
You can do this during the whole
month. Perhaps keep it visible in a
special place at home.
At the end of the month I invite you
to bring it to the Mass for the
deceased (Friday 28 November) and
bring it to the altar.
Photographs.
I also invite you to bring along
during the month of November
photographs of your family
deceased so we can build up a
remembrance frieze. This will be
part of the 60th anniversary event
and celebrate all those who have
been part of the worshipping
community here over sixty years.
Please put your name on so thy can
be returned to you.
The Union of Catholic
Mothers…
are looking for old pictures of
UCM activities going back during
the life of the parish and will be
holding an evening of sharing
them during the month.

the four score years and ten

Christmas is coming
and minds turn to
- cribs!!!
and a host of people are
currently knitting crib figures for
use in an Advent event that will
involve families as it travels
around the parish. If you are a
knitter, could you now put on a
spurt so they can be handed in
before next Friday 21 November?
